You have to pick one, you can’t have both.

For the past week I’ve had a quote in my head when I wake up.

I just did a 1 minute search to find out who was the author, so I could share it with you, but I get a handful of possible authors.

This includes a character from the TV show Game of Thrones.

It’d make sense that the show was where I’d heard this quote, since I really enjoy the show…

Anyways, here’s the quote:

“You can have excuses or you can have success. You can’t have both”

I heard something very close to this when I got started back in 2004. I took it to heart and every time I came up with an excuse, which was constantly at first, I made the choice.

I would choose success and take small steps everyday, over and over, for years and years.

This makes it easier to overcome “failure”, because I was dedicated to the system of daily steps and choosing success, not the excuses that lead to quitting. The excuses kept coming and I kept choosing success instead.

Choosing success works in every area of life.

I’ve chosen success in health, lately. This is an area I’ve allowed the excuses to run the show in the past, but no more.

I choose success, so I just picked a nutrition system. One small step.

I’ve lost 18 lbs since I started, because I’ve designed a daily action plan around that system. Another small step.

I have been recruiting my kids and girlfriend into upgrading our health. Another small step.

I have it scheduled the correct amount of time to put towards this plan. Another small step.

Choose success, over and over, and small steps, over and over.

You’ll still have excuses pop up, but you don’t have to choose to keep them.

Choose success now:
