Sterling and Jay in the U.K. (Photos)

by Jason Van Orden

Sterling, my wife and I spent the last two weeks visiting London, Paris and Scotland. While we got to see the Eiffel Tower, The Tower of London and numerous towering castles in the Scottish highlands, some of our favorite times were when we got to grab a drink and chat with Internet Business Mastery members and listeners (photos below).

It’s amazing to be able to go to another continent and immediately have friends and like-minded people to spend time with.

We’d like to thank Phil Clark and Patrick Rogan for helping us look into pubs for our IBM meetup. Thanks go also to James Noble for an excellent lunch at the National Gallery and Mark Pentleton for showing us the merits of haggis, neeps and tatties (translated: sheep guts, turnips and potatoes). And thanks to all those that came out to meet us in London. We had a fabulous time getting to know you.

Meeting people in the U.K. got us thinking about occasionally doing other regional events and meet ups. To facilitate that, we’re going to create small exclusive notification lists for specific areas. The logical places to begin with are Portland, OR (where I live) and Salt Lake City, UT (where Sterling lives).

If you are in or near either of those cities, please use the appropriate form below to be added to our notification lists for those cities if you’d like to find out when we organize special events.

It was great to meet you guys and all the other IBM listeners in London, we’ve kept in touch and are sharing ideas. Glad to see you finally got to meet the queen and looks like the rest of your trip was a lot of fun! Hope the weather was as kind to you as it has been for me in Austin :o)

Enjoy SXSW! Sounds like a blast. I can’t believe that to this date I’ve still never been. I need to remedy that.

It looks like you guys had a blast. I do hope the Queen was pleasant. I’m sad I missed the meet-up but hey at least you know that we’re with you guys even across the Atlantic.

Hi guys, I live 100 miles North of London and wish I could have made it, but had other commitments. You most probably passed me on the way to/from Scotland :) Hope you enjoyed the uk and hope it didn’t rain too much, as it rains most of the time here…

It was actually nice most of the time. It was icky in Scotland, but it just added to the experience!

After that long trip, I’m happy to be home for a while! Though, we will be doing a seminar in Portland soon. More details to come in a few days.

    Hi Guys

It was great to actually meet all three of you. Sterling, I enjoyed the banter over the steak, it was real good to actually get together with some of the “gurus” that I spend many hours listening to.

Meeting you guys in person made everything just a little more real! :-)

    Hey James,

We had a fantastic time in London. The Tower of London was especially interesting. We also made it back to the National Gallery to check out the impressionist paintings.
